Selective Travel Management, part of The World Travel Centre Group, are continuing to expand in the UK & Ireland market. As a result of this growth, we are now recruiting for a marketing and events executive. We are looking for someone to proactively support and develop a wide range of marketing activities across the company both internally and externally.

Job Purpose
To develop and contribute to the marketing plan in line with the business strategy. To generate public and brand awareness and seek marketing opportunities in line with meeting business goals and overall strategic direction.

Skills & Experience
Customer service is paramount and to be successful in this role you will be expected to demonstrate this to the highest level. Excellent communication skills are essential and will enable you to complete key marketing responsibilities. Having excellent organisational skills due to working to deadlines and the ability to work on your own will help you succeed in this role.

Requirements:

  • ✓ Creative, organised with strong attention to detail
  • ✓ Ability to work on own
  • ✓ Willingness to learn new skills and ability to learn about new technology/online tools
  • ✓ Around 1+ years experience in a marketing role
  • ✓ Experience in company newsletters, email campaigns essential
  • ✓ Experience in on-line marketing, campaign development, market research desirable
  • ✓ Experience in other marketing activities such as social media, advertising, events desirable

You will be trained in the essential web tools required for your role and you will have the opportunity to continue your development as you progress in your career.
You will supported by the Management team working with a friendly team of colleagues and have the opportunity to expand your skills. Occasional travel may be required.

As a result of this growth, we are now recruiting for a Sales & Business Development Executive. We are looking for someone who is a passionate sales person; a self-starter that has a strong personal drive who can work independently to deliver sales growth. This is a highly visible role and requires a presentable and professional individual.

Job Purpose
To develop and contribute to the sales growth plan in line with the business strategy. To generate new corporate travel sales and promote our brand awareness and pursue all sales opportunities in line with meeting business goals and overall strategic direction.

Skills & Experience
Customer service is paramount and to be successful in this role you will be expected to demonstrate this to the highest level. Excellent communication skills, dynamic and a competitive personality are essential to complete the key sales responsibilities. You will be proactive and energetic with a hunger to learn and increase the current client base as well as focused on achieving targets and help grow the corporate brand. Having excellent organisational and interpersonal skills due to working to sales targets and the ability to work on your own will help you succeed in this role.

Requirements:

  • ✓ Strong natural sales and commercial acumen with introductory negotiation skills.
  • ✓ Ability to work on your own and across a variety of cultural environments.
  • ✓ Ability to gather, research and analyse market information to create prospects.
  • ✓ Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
  • ✓ Willingness to learn new skills and ability to learn about new technology/online tools
  • ✓ Ability to produce mini proposals and presentations
  • ✓ Attention to detail with an ability to communicate concise, accurate information.
  • ✓ Manage and maintain up-to-date sales records
  • ✓ Attend Sales Meetings
  • ✓ Attend Industry Events / Trade Shows
  • ✓ Around 3+ years’ experience in a business development role
  • ✓ A background in the travel industry is desired but not essential.



You will be trained in the essential web tools and provided with the key sales elements required for your role and you will have the opportunity to continue your development as you progress in your career.


You will supported by the Sales & Account Management Team and Managing Director working with a friendly team of colleagues and have the opportunity to expand your skills. Occasional travel may be required.
