Caribbean are everything you want them to be…from luxury sunshine paradise to unforgettable rainforest adventure, making it a fabulous year-round destination.

Antigua, Caribbean

An island of endless white sand beaches and beautiful weather, Antigua has long been a mecca for the yachting fraternity. A popular time to visit is during Antigua Sailing Week. However there is more to this Caribbean island than sailor’s caps and deck shoes. A 10-day Carnival celebrating Antiguan music takes place each year at the end of July when the sounds of Calypso resound long after the sun goes down and new honeymooners can enjoy cocktails by moonlight. St. John, the island’s capital is great for shopping or Redcliff Quay, full of quaint wood and stone buildings, for its boardwalk cafes and restaurants. Don’t miss the vibrant farmers market on Friday and Saturday mornings for local crafts and sumptuous foods.

Aruba, Caribbean

Aruba offers a generous dash of peace and quiet. The people are a rich mix of Spanish, Dutch, Portuguese and Caribbean ancestry, and are famed for their hospitality. Palm Beach, where many of Aruba’s major resort hotels are located, is one of the prize beaches of the Caribbean. The scuba diving, snorkelling, and deep-sea fishing are spectacular. For a real treat, strap on your mask and fins and explore the Antilla, a ship scuttled during World War II and rumoured to harbour the ghost of a drowned sailor. When you’re not enjoying the spas, casinos, golf courses and tennis facilities of the resort hotels, you can tour the world-famous Butterfly Farm, a tropical garden that teems with rare species of butterflies from around the world. Additional attractions include colourful festivals and street fairs staged weekly.

Bahamas, Caribbean

Seven hundred islands and cays scattered over one thousand square miles – that’s the Bahamas, a magical world of amazing creamy sand beaches and crystal clear seas. There is an island experience to suit everyone.

Barbados, Caribbean

Make your honeymoon a memorable one: Barbados has everything you would expect from a tropical island and much more. Walk along its beautiful beaches where the pale turquoise waters lap at your feet and the white sand softens your step. Swaying coconut palms, pounding surf, rolling hills and sugar cane fields, do take the opportunity to explore this island paradise. Highlights include Barbados Museum, The Flower Forest, Orchid World, Harrison’s Caves and Barbados Wildlife Reserve.

Cuba, Caribbean

Cuba is the largest of all the Caribbean islands. Little touched by commercialism, it offers honeymooners a lively atmosphere and a romantic air of faded grandeur from colonial times gone by. Locals are laid back and the pace of life is refreshingly slow. The Island’s capital, Havana, is a world heritage site and is home to elegant baroque and art deco architecture. Varadero is Cuba’s leading beach resort with an amazing 20 miles of white sandy beach. Or alternatively make your way to Guardalavaca on the nort-eastern shores – here you will find beautiful palm-fringed beaches set against the impressive backdrop of the Sierra Madre mountains.

Dominican Republic, Caribbean

Island of dazzling white beaches and a passionate latin flavour, the Dominican Republic is spectacularly lush and tropical. Here honeymooners can savor the many delights of fine cuisine or casual fare, or venture “off-the-beaten-path” and browse unique galleries, antique shops, and artists colonies. Challenge yourself with championship golf along the north coast of Playa Grande or just relax and enjoy the simple pleasures of the Island. Secluded coves, hidden waterfalls, and exotic wildlife are sure to make your honeymoon a memorable one!

Jamaica, Caribbean

One of the largest islands in the Caribbean, Jamaica’s lush landscape and white sandy beaches have long attracted honeymooners in search of paradise, and they always find it here. The Blue Mountain Range stretch from end to end, patterned with gushing waterfalls and pretty vegetation. With its colourful reggae ambience, excellent accommodation and sporting facilities, it is not difficult to see why visitors return year after year to savour Jamaica’s hospitality. For personal recommendations and advice on this area, activities and accommodation, please contact our experienced travel consultants.
